Winter Scent Work - 6 Week Session

Mother of Dachshund Training

Beginner Scent Work – Saturday Mornings 🐾

This is a great introductory scent work class for dogs of all ages and experience levels—no prior training required.

Scent work taps into your dog’s most powerful sense: their nose. In this class, dogs learn the foundations of searching for and identifying specific scents through fun, low-pressure games designed to build confidence, focus, and problem-solving skills.

Basic scent work helps dogs:

  • Use their natural instincts in a healthy, enriching way

  • Build confidence and independence

  • Improve focus and mental stamina

  • Reduce stress through purposeful sniffing

  • Strengthen communication and teamwork with their handler

Because scent work is calm, structured, and self-paced, it’s especially beneficial for:

  • Beginner dogs and handlers

  • Shy, anxious, or over-aroused dogs

  • Dogs who need mental enrichment without high physical impact

This class focuses on learning how dogs search, how to support them without micromanaging, and how to keep scent work fun and rewarding. Every dog works at their own pace—there’s no pressure, no competition, and no forced interaction.

Come let your dog do what they do best: sniff, think, and succeed.
